Hi I am Sravya and I am an active volunteer at ASHA for Education. ASHA is an organization that is dedicated to supporting basic education in India. It partners with NGOs in India which work on directly creating educational opportunities for children in India. I have always wanted to give back to the society and work for a cause that makes a difference. Volunteering for ASHA allows me to work and create funds that are used for various education and rehabilitation projects in India that will help kids lead a fulfilled life.
ASHA Portland chapter supports the Project Sandnya Sanwardhan Sanstha . Sandnya Sanwardhan Sanstha is an institute that specializes in development and rehabilitation of mentally challenged children. They currently support about 100 children with services such as Speech Therapy, Physiotherapy, Public Awareness, Vocational Training to name a few.
