I work in Intel and in my free time like to take part in volunteer activities with ASHA and AID non-profit organizations. I am particularly interested in the causes of education of underprivileged children and women empowerment, currently focusing in India. Before moving to Portland, I volunteered with Asha Purdue during my graduate studies for about 2 years.
I have pledged to run the GPTR 5K run to raise funds to support our project – Sandnya Sawardhan Sanstha in Nagpur, dedicated towards education and rehabilitation of differently abled children. Asha Portland is a budding new chapter and needs your support. The GPTR event is the first time our newly formed chapter is going to run towards raising funds for the cause of education and your contribution and support would really help boost our morale. With this first fund-raising event as platform, we look forward to building a well-funded, self-sustained chapter in the Portland community to support multiple education projects throughout India.
